Job Title: On-Call Crisis Response

Location: Two Harbors, MN, Cloquet, MN, Or Grand Marais, MN  

Salary:  $3.00 per hour Monday at 5:00pm to Friday at 8:00 am

$6.00 per hour Friday at 5:00 to Monday at 8:00 am

$6.00 per hour for HDC observed holidays

$25.00 per hour if called


Summary: Opportunity to work On-Call (nights and weekends) providing crisis response services as part of multi-agency team.  

DUTIES:  Coordinate follow up services with the Adult and Child Crisis Coordinators.  Answer calls and meet with clients (children or adults) after hours in pre-arranged locations within the county to provide crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.  Work with hospitals, law enforcement, social services, and other community providers.  Must be able to have a flexible monthly schedule that allows availability on scheduled weeks and weekends.


Ability to meet Mental Health Practitioner DHS standards (https://www.dhs.state.mn.us/main/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DYNAMIC_CONVERSION&RevisionSelectionMethod=LatestReleased&dDocName=dhs16_136715#MHP). Experience providing direct services to diverse populations and working with community partners.  Ability to identify crisis situations and appropriate responses.  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required. Must have reliable transportation, proof of vehicle insurance, and valid driver's license. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's Degree in human services or a related field. Familiarity with local resources for adults, children, and families.  Experience with documentation in Care logic Electronic Medical Record.
