ARMHS Mental Health Practitioner or Mental Health Rehab Worker

Full Time (2 openings)

Location: Duluth, MN & Cloquet, MN 

Salary:  $12.55 - $18.51 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

DUTIES:  To work effectively within Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) and Outreach services that help clients to live more successfully and independently in the community.  Have knowledge of, and be able to teach skills related to coping, relapse prevention, and basic household and living skills. Assessing needs and applying interventions appropriately.  Be able to complete functional assessments and treatment plans and daily progress notes. Be able to maintain appropriate boundaries in a variety of settings and situations.  Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Mental Health Practitioner: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field and 2000 supervised hours of mental health experience or High School Diploma and 4000 supervised hours of relevant mental health experience

Mental Health Rehab Worker: an associate of arts degree, 2 years of full-time postsecondary education, or a total of 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields; or within the previous 10 years has one of the following:  2000 hours supervised paid work experience delivering mental health services to adults with serious mental illness or brain injury, or 3 years as a primary care giver to an adult with serious mental illness, TBI, substance use disorder, or developmental disability or 3 years personal experience with mental illness.

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, proof of motor vehicle insurance, and ability to pass state and DMV background check.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Knowledge of community resources and area providers.  Good time management skills, ability to be self directed and disciplined.  Knowledge of employment related skills and crisis intervention skills.
