Job Title: EHR Systems Support Specialist/Report Writer

SUMMARY: Develop reports to pull data out of our EHR database for the purpose of submitting grant applications, state and federal reporting, and analyzing trends in care. Assists with the development of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software application requirements and the implementation of various health informatics modules at HDC. Maintain system administration and support and assist with problem resolution as it relates to the EHR product.

DUTIES:  Data capture and reporting through the development of ad-hoc reports from the EHR using the prescribed reporting software; Assisting with the training of all employees on data capture to satisfy the grant requirements of the CCBHC care delivery model; Knowledgeable in data and reporting manipulation through Excel, as well as the ability to use other components of the Microsoft suite; Shares in System Admin for the EHR System; Participates in EHR design and build sessions, tests the application, and documents the findings; Maintains the EHR issues database/helpdesk; Assist in conducting user workflow analysis to determine possible improvements in the use of existing software systems, or the possible additions/changes to the systems; Develops and delivers training documentation, including system hierarchy, functional system responsibilities; Assist in the development of forms needed for the EHR; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mission critical system's functionality and utilization improvement; Performs special projects; Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must possess an HIM, MIS, or Business-Related Degree or other related advanced training with one (1) year of experience working in a customer service healthcare setting, working in an EHR.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, software and hardware support with troubleshooting skills and diagnostic abilities; A strong customer focus and constant drive to improve the support experience of the employees; Initiative and problem-solving skills; A willingness to learn new skills; Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; Good verbal and written communications skills; Must work in a team environment.
